Can you use Express Wages on your first day of work?

You can set up your account as soon as your employer invites you to join. But you can only transfer wages you've already earned — so there usually isn't anything available to transfer on your actual first day.

Two things have to happen first: you've worked hours that count as earned wages, and your employer has reported those hours through payroll so they show up in the app. Once earned wages start showing as available, you can transfer up to your daily limit.

So the short version: sign up early, but expect your available amount to start at $0 and grow as you work and your hours are reported.
